Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has partnered with Gurugram-based EV startup Bounce Infinity to launch eDrive stores and accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) across the country.
The eDrive stores will be multi-brand hubs located at select BPCL retail outlets, offering consumers the opportunity to purchase electric two-wheelers directly from these fuel stations.
How will the eDrive stores operate?
The eDrive stores will be operated either by Bounce Infinity or through BPCL's dealer network, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
Each outlet will be equipped with charging points, making it convenient for customers to charge their vehicles on-site. The launch also opens up opportunities for BPCL dealers to become integral parts of the EV revolution, as they will receive support in marketing, inventory management, and training from Bounce Infinity.
Each BPCL location will feature only one brand, allowing Bounce Infinity or another brand to have an exclusive presence per outlet.
Transforming fuel stations
The partnership is a strategic move to transform BPCL's fuel stations into versatile energy hubs.
Pardeep Goyal, Business Head of Retail at BPCL, emphasized that this initiative is part of BPCL’s broader strategy to support sustainability goals and cater to the evolving needs of customers.
"At BPCL, we are continually advancing our services to support the nation’s sustainability goals. Partnering with Bounce Infinity is an integral part of our strategy to transform our fuel stations into versatile energy hubs that cater to the evolving needs of our customers and contribute to environmental sustainability," Goyal said.
