A woman has flagged a safety concern after alleging that a Zomato delivery partner sent her unsettling messages following a late-night food delivery.
In a post shared on Reddit, the woman said the delivery partner arrived around 10:30 p.m. and, after handing over the order, sent her messages on the app saying “Hi” and “Bahut quit ho” (very cute).

She said she closed the gate immediately after receiving the parcel and noticed that the order was not marked as delivered for some time, after which the messages appeared.
The woman said the delivery partner waited nearly 20 minutes for a response before marking the order as delivered. She described the incident as unsafe, especially for women, noting that delivery partners have access to customers’ addresses and contact details.
She added that she raised a complaint with Zomato and was awaiting the company’s response.

Netizens reaction
Screenshots of the chat were shared along with the post, which quickly drew reactions from netizens.
Several users suggested her to escalate the matter with Zomato’s customer support and to raise the issue publicly on social media to ensure action. Others debated the intent behind the message, with some suggesting it may have been misinterpreted, while many stressed that such messages was inappropriate regardless of intent.
"Escalate this to customer support. Post on X and Instagram tagging Zomato. When this reaches to the higher authorities, they will surely take this up and take necessary actions against him," a user noted.
"He actually did it so legally he can make an excuse, my guess," another said.
"Pathetic! Sorry this happened to you. I know this is not the solution but maybe just wear a mask while taking these deliveries. It's obviously not the best approach but you can't change these creeps overnight. I'd suggest making a post on X as well and tag zomato and even your local police," a third user added.
