Gurugram-based electric vehicle cab service provider BluSmart is gearing up to begin operations in Mumbai on January 1, 2025.
The company made the announcement on X (formerly Twitter) on December 28, inviting select users to join an “invite-only” experience before services open to the general public.
Invite only access
BluSmart says it will initially offer rides to a limited group of users through an exclusive sign-up process. Interested riders can fill out a form, providing their name, phone number, and email ID. Once submitted, these users will be eligible to experience the service before it officially rolls out to everyone in the city.
“Starting January 1, 2025, BluSmart is here to make your journeys reliable, safer, and always on time,” the company said in its post. “After months of dedication and hard work, we’re excited to bring this dream to life in your city.”

Mumbai, we’re arriving soon—exclusively for a select few to experience it before everyone else.
BluSmart's market presence
Founded in 2019, BluSmart is considered South Asia’s first and largest all-electric ride-hailing and EV charging infrastructure network. It currently operates in Delhi NCR and Bengaluru and launched its first international service in the UAE in June.
The startup follows an asset-heavy model, owning all the cars in its fleet and employing drivers on monthly salaries, which sets it apart from many competitors.
It claims to have over 8,500 electric sedans and premium EVs and has completed over 21 million rides, covering 680 million clean kilometres.
