Careerlab raises $2.2 million from Rocket Internet's VC fund GFC and angel investors

  • Careerlab, a profile building digital platform has raised fresh funding of $2.2 million in new funding round to back up the company’s operation.
  • Set up in 2019 by a group of talented people has set a target of reaching out to 1000 colleges in the coming days.

Bengaluru-based Careerlabs, a profile building platform for students and working professionals have announced fresh funding of $2.2 million in new funding round as it plans to scale up business and increasing offering portfolio.

Rocket Internet's VC fund, Global Founders Capital, invested in the Bengaluru-based startup’s pre-series A round with participation from Toshan Tamhane, Chief Digital Officer, UPL; Ajit Isaac, Founder Chairman of QuessCorp; Rohit Kale, MD, Spencer Stuart; Professors of ISB, Ghanshyam Dass- Former MD- the Asia Pacific and the Middle East, Nasdaq and Abhishek Nag, Director of Business Development -India and South Asia, Netflix and other angel investors.

PN Santosh, co-founder, and CEO of CareerLabs said, India’s vision of becoming self-reliant could become possible only when if India leverages its demographic dividend. We at Careerlabs strongly plan to bridge the demand-supply gap of the trained and knowledgeable workforce and allowed access of our platform to one million students to learn and earn better by providing everyone a chance to achieve a successful career thereby creating a motivated workforce.”

Set up in 2019 by one of the employees of BYJU’S initial team, led by serial entrepreneur PN Santosh, Ex- Mckinsey alumnus and Ex-founding member at BYJU's, Krithika Srinivasan from the University of Michigan, and Prasanna Alagesan, an alumnus of IIM Bangalore, a platform that is helping students become future-ready, setting them on a path to success that suits them best.

The brand has set a target of reaching out to more than 1000 colleges in the coming days and help them to draw their career path through its AI-enhanced career discovery engine, CareerWizard which will help them to get their dream job.
