Piyush Anchliya
Payments and API‑banking firm Cashfree Payments has appointed finance veteran Piyush Anchliya as chief financial officer.
In his new role, Anchliya will be responsible for shaping the company's financial strategy, optimizing operations, and supporting its next phase of strategic expansion. He will report to Akash Sinha, CEO and co-founder of Cashfree Payments.
The appointment comes after the Bengaluru-based fintech firm raised $53 million (about Rs 450 crore) in a funding round led by KRAFTON. The round also saw continued participation from Apis Growth Fund II, a private equity fund managed by Apis Partners Group.
Who is Piyush Anchliya?
Anchliya is a seasoned finance leader with more than 15 years of domestic and international experience spanning investment banking, corporate finance, corporate strategy, and mergers and acquisitions. He has held senior roles across India and the United States, including stints at Barclays and the IDFC/Bandhan Group.
Most recently, he served as chief financial officer at Bandhan AMC, formerly IDFC Asset Management Company. Anchliya holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
Known for his cross-functional approach and strategic acumen, Anchliya brings expertise in both public and private markets, with a strong focus on sustainable growth. His leadership is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing Cashfree Payments' financial and strategic goals.
