Consumer assistance and protection platform OneAssist appoints Abhishek Maheshwari as CEO

OneAssist Consumer Solutions, a Peak XV-backed consumer assistance and protection platform, has named Abhishek Maheshwari as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2025. He has also joined the company’s board of directors.

Maheshwari previously served as CEO of Aakash Educational Services, President–International at Byju’s, and Country Head at The Walt Disney Company India. He brings more than two decades of experience across technology, media, education, and consumer businesses.

In his new role, Maheshwari will oversee business strategy, financial performance, and expansion into new categories and markets. OneAssist said he will also focus on deploying AI-driven solutions to enhance customer experience and automate services.

“With robust partnerships and a wide customer base, our focus will be on innovating technology-driven solutions that bring convenience and peace of mind to millions of Indian households,” Maheshwari said.

Co-founders Gagan Maini and Subrat Pani, who launched OneAssist in 2011, said they would remain actively involved in strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions.

“His proven track record of transforming businesses through technology and his deep understanding of Indian consumers make him the ideal leader for our next phase of growth,” Maini noted.

OneAssist serves nearly two crore customers across 19,000 pin codes in India, working with more than 3,000 businesses under its B2B2C model. Its offerings cover protection and assistance for electronic devices, appliances, financial products, and lifestyle categories, supported by a network of 1,000 service providers.
