CoRover AI launches Kanha AI

Indian AI startup CoRover AI has announced the launch of Kanha AI, a voice-first AI companion designed for children aged 0 to 7 years.

The startup said that the AI companion is created to nurture curiosity, support learning routines, and encourage emotional well-being. It prioritises meaningful conversations over screens and imagination over digital distraction.

Unlike screen-based devices, CoRover AI said that Kanha AI has no display, no videos, and no addictive visual stimuli. Instead, it listens, talks, and gently guides. Through natural voice-first interaction, Kanha engages children in thoughtful dialogue that evolves over time.

It adapts to a child’s tone, interests, and conversational patterns, remembering context and responding in ways that feel personal and reflective.

Kanha AI offers proactive yet subtle guidance in everyday life. Whether it is a warm “Good morning. Ready to learn something new?” or a gentle “You seemed quiet today. Want to talk?”, the companion encourages self-expression and emotional awareness, the release notes.

Inspired by the spirit of Krishna, curious, playful, and wise, Kanha AI is rooted in values of balance, compassion, and thoughtful dialogue, bringing cultural depth into modern AI interaction.

Beyond its conversational intelligence, Kanha AI is designed to feel safe and warm in a child’s environment. Each companion is handcrafted, lathe-turned, and lacquered to ensure tactile comfort and child safety. Its physical form reinforces its philosophy: technology that feels human, approachable, and grounded.

Notably, Kanha AI empowers parents by allowing them to view interaction summaries, track emotional signals, set active hours, receive alerts (like safety alerts, medical alerts, bullying alert, emotional alerts) when necessary, and add personalized nudges such as reminders for reading, practicing music, or connecting with family members.

Ankush Sabharwal, Founder & CEO of CoRover AI, said, “With Kanha AI, we are reimagining how children interact with technology. This is not another device competing for attention—it is a voice-first companion rooted in Indian culture, empathy, and conscious parenting. At CoRover, we believe AI should amplify human values, not replace them. Kanha is designed to grow alongside every child, encouraging curiosity, balance, and meaningful reflection, while ensuring parents remain empowered. This is responsible AI built for children and families.”
