Hitwicket, the Hyderabad-based cricket gaming startup, has brought onboard Harsha Bhogle, one of cricket's most revered commentators, as a strategic investor. 

With this, the startup aims to leverage Bhogle's deep cricketing insights and passion to co-create content and gaming experiences that resonate with cricket fans worldwide.

Focused on global expansion 

The partnership with Harsha Bhogle will fuel Hitwicket's goal of achieving 50 million downloads globally over the next two years.

Founded in 2020 by Keerti Singh and Kashyap Reddy, Hitwicket has developed a cricket strategy game and a multiplayer version called, Hitwicket Superstars. The startup claims the game has over 5 million downloads across 109 countries.

What did Harsha Bhogle say?

Harsha Bhogle hailed as "The Voice of Cricket," brings over 40 years of experience in cricket commentary to the table. He is known for his profound knowledge and love for the game. Bhogle's role as a strategic investor is expected to enhance Hitwicket's appeal and global outreach significantly.

Bhogle's involvement aligns with his enthusiasm for promoting cricket's global reach, including in the United States, where the sport is gaining momentum with initiatives like Major League Cricket and the upcoming T20 Cricket World Cup in June 2024.

What does Hitwicket offer?

Hitwicket has distinguished itself by offering a unique gaming experience in which players take on the roles of owner, coach, and captain of a cricket team. The startup claims to have attracted a diverse user base, including a significant percentage of women players and caters to a wide age range from 10 to 60. 

The game's ability to engage users for an average of 4.9 hours per week, higher than the Indian average for mid-core games.
