Crypto exchange CoinDCX appoints new Head of Engineering and Head of Product

Indian crypto exchange CoinDCX has appointed Amol Wanjari as Head of Engineering and Sangeeth Aloysius as Head of Product, bolstering its leadership as it intensifies efforts to expand its user base and technology footprint.

The appointments come amid CoinDCX’s plans to grow its domestic footprint and attract more Indian investors over the next six months. As part of this initiative, the company also plans to increase hiring by 15%, focusing particularly on its product and engineering teams.

The Mumbai-headquartered firm, which claims to have over 19 million registered users, is betting on technology-led growth at a time when India’s digital asset sector is striving to build trust and simplify access to crypto investing.

Amol Wanjari brings over two decades of experience in engineering leadership. Prior to joining CoinDCX, he held senior roles at Amazon Pay, Acko, and Bizongo, where he led initiatives involving distributed systems, platform infrastructure, and AI-based tools. At CoinDCX, Wanjari will lead a 200-member engineering team focused on streamlining infrastructure, bolstering reliability, and improving investor experience.

Sangeeth Aloysius, a seasoned product executive formerly at Flipkart, joins as Head of Product. He brings 18 years of experience in product management across consumer-facing and backend systems. At Flipkart, Aloysius led product initiatives in areas such as user experience, loyalty, pricing, and supply chain. An alumnus of the Indian School of Business, he will be responsible for expanding CoinDCX’s product suite and driving user-centric innovation.

CoinDCX said that these appointments are aligned with its strategic vision of enhancing accessibility, scalability, and security on its platform. In addition to expanding its hiring, the company plans to release new features aimed at making crypto trading more intuitive for both first-time and seasoned investors.
