Deepinder Goyal-led food delivery platform Zomato is expanding its 'restaurant services hub' across India.

The hub is designed to be a one-stop solution to help restaurants scale up their operations. The services provided through this hub include assistance with staffing, licensing essentials, and other complexities involved in running a restaurant. 

How does it benefit restaurants?

In the last six months, Zomato's restaurant services hub has already serviced over 3,200 restaurants. These services are now being extended to all restaurants across India, regardless of their arrangement with Zomato.

The hub aims to help restaurant owners with everything from finding the ideal location and suppliers to obtaining the necessary licenses and hiring the right staff. 

“The restaurant services hub platform is only a step towards our vision of creating a full-stack solution for any restaurant owner looking to set up shop or scale their existing business. By strengthening partnerships and facilitating collaboration within the industry, we are focused on building a more resilient and inclusive ecosystem in the country,” said Rakesh Ranjan, CEO of Food Delivery at Zomato.

What services are offered?

Currently, the platform offers services related to staffing solutions, including the option to outsource the entire hiring process, with a guarantee period for new employees. It also helps with essential licenses such as GST registration, FSSAI registration or renewal, and trademark registration.

Zomato plans to add more services soon, including point-of-sale (POS) device integrations and hygiene audits. The hub also allows users to compare vendors, track services, and avail discounted prices.

How can restaurants access these services?

The services are accessible to Zomato restaurant partners through their Restaurant Partner App or Dining App. Notably, The platform is open to all restaurants pan-India, irrespective of their existing arrangement with Zomato. The hub aims to simplify the operational challenges faced by restaurants and to support their growth and success in the competitive market.
