DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations has received a major boost after securing Type Certification from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation for its advanced multipurpose drone, AgriVeer.
The certification officially validates AgriVeer’s compliance with strict safety and performance standards, paving the way for its commercial launch across India.
DGCA approval for AgriVeer
According to the company, AgriVeer can be deployed in agriculture, education, and RPTO (Remote Pilot Training Organization) training programs. The drone will improve efficiency and accuracy in key operations, especially in precision farming.
AgriVeer, equipped with next-generation AI capabilities, is also expected to support various industrial applications, reinforcing DroneAcharya’s reputation as an innovator in the growing Indian drone sector.
Strategic merger with AVPL
In addition to the new certification, DroneAcharya recently signed a term sheet for a strategic merger with AVPL International (AITMC Ventures Ltd). The financial details of the merger are not disclosed by the company.
The partnership aims to reshape the Indian drone landscape by combining DroneAcharya’s research and development strengths with AVPL’s expansive infrastructure and expertise in talent development.
The two companies will focus on creating advanced drones with integrated technologies such as AI, IoT, blockchain, and robotics, while also strengthening the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) sector through a skilled workforce.
Growth in training and services
Last month, DroneAcharya expanded its services by launching an advanced drone pilot training program in partnership with leading aviation institutes.
This initiative targets the growing demand for skilled UAV operators in sectors like agriculture, defense, and logistics.
