Easebuzz has received authorisation from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to operate as a full-service Payment Aggregator across online, offline, and cross-border payments.

With this approval, the Pune-based fintech becomes one of the very few companies in the sector allowed to manage all three payment channels under a single infrastructure.

The licence allows the company to support merchants with online payment acceptance, in-person payments through POS devices and UPI soundboxes, and international inward and outward payment transactions. This puts Easebuzz in the same category as players such as PayU and Pine Labs, which recently secured similar integrated approvals from the central bank.

Rohit Prasad, MD and CEO of Easebuzz, said, “This milestone reflects our long-standing commitment in building compliant, scalable, and secure payment solutions for Indian businesses. This also stands testimony to RBI’s progressive approach in reducing entry barriers and propelling the industry forward through innovation and integrated payments ecosystem across online, offline and cross-border transactions.”

According to the reports, Easebuzz currently serves more than 2.5 lakh merchants and processes over three million transactions every day. Its annualised Gross Transaction Value exceeds $50 billion.

The approval to operate as a cross-border Payment Aggregator further extends Easebuzz’s reach to exporters, D2C brands, SaaS companies, and service businesses that work with global customers. Its international payments stack is designed to support multi-currency acceptance, compliant FX routing, faster settlements, and detailed reconciliation, reducing friction for companies scaling overseas.
