EaseMyTrip launches India's first travel marketplace ScanMyTrip.com on ONDC network

Indian traveltech firm EaseMyTrip has unveiled ScanMyTrip.com, India's first marketplace integrated with the Indian govt-backed Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC).

With this, the company becomes the first online travel agency (OTA) to sell travel services on the ONDC network.

The new platform is designed to enable OTAs, MSMEs, travel agents and homestays to list their offerings – flights, hotels and homestays on the ONDC Network, providing them access to a broader digital marketplace.

Integrating with ONDC network

EaseMyTrip said that the integration with ONDC will allow businesses in the travel and tourism sector to leverage ONDC's digital infrastructure, empowering even the smallest service providers to tap into a wide customer base. 

ScanMyTrip.com simplifies the onboarding process, making it easier for businesses to connect with travellers and compete in the online marketplace, the release notes.

Equitable marketplace for participants

He said the development will enhance opportunities for MSMEs and small homestays, help create an equitable marketplace for all participants, and foster healthy competition.

Earlier this year, EaseMyTrip signed a Letter of Intent with ONDC during the ‘ONDC Startup Mahotsav’ to be a part of the digital revolution that ONDC is bringing in the ecommerce ecosystem.
