The board of Easy Trip Planners Limited, the parent of EaseMyTrip, approved the move at its meeting on September 20, 2025. The company subscribed to 10 lakh equity shares at Rs 15.20 apiece, translating into an investment of Rs 1.52 crore, payable in tranches.

Eco Hotels, incorporated in 1987 and headquartered in Mumbai, operates in the hospitality sector with a focus on eco-friendly and green hotels. The company remains in an early stage of growth, posting a turnover of Rs 13.71 lakh in FY25, compared with Rs 1.39 lakh in FY24 and Rs 0.78 lakh in FY23.

EaseMyTrip first entered the hospitality space in December 2023 with a 13% stake in Eco Hotels. The latest infusion comes at a time when Eco Hotels itself is expanding aggressively. In Q1 FY26, Easy Trip Planners approved an investment of R 175 crore for a 50% stake in Three Falcons Notting Hill Ltd, the acquisition of 100% of AB Finance Pvt Ltd for Rs 194.4 crore, and an in-principle investment in Vashu Bhagnani Industries Ltd.

The transaction falls under the related-party category as an independent director of EaseMyTrip also serves on Eco Hotels’ board, though the company said it was conducted on an arm’s-length basis.

Meanwhile, EaseMyTrip’s financial performance has softened. The company reported operating revenue of Rs 114 crore in Q1 FY26, down 25.5% year-on-year, while profit after tax fell sharply to Rs 44 lakh from Rs 34 crore a year earlier.
