Easy Pay joins govt-backed ONDC to enhance MSME access to digital commerce

Easy Pay, a pioneering payment solutions provider, has joined the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) as a seller, expanding its support to India’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in digital commerce.

Building on its previous role as a buyer on the ONDC platform, Easy Pay now aims to provide integrated digital services to enable MSMEs to streamline and grow their online presence.

With this new seller role, Easy Pay is introducing a wide range of tools to support MSMEs across both retail and wholesale sectors.

The company aims to onboard 5,000 MSMEs by the end of the fiscal year, offering services that simplify operational tasks like inventory management, catalogue creation, order processing, packaging logistics, and seamless payment options.

Easy Pay’s platform integrates these tools into one user-friendly system, eliminating the need for MSMEs to manage multiple e-commerce platforms.

According to Nilay Patel, Founder and Managing Director of Easy Pay, the initiative marks a step toward “making e-commerce more accessible for MSMEs and small businesses.”

By joining ONDC, Easy Pay provides comprehensive financial services and marketplace access for MSMEs, helping them thrive in India’s booming digital economy. “We’re enabling them to overcome traditional challenges and seamlessly reach a nationwide audience,” Patel said.

The ONDC platform connects sellers with multiple buyer apps, allowing MSMEs to reach a broader audience without incurring high commission fees or managing individual e-commerce platforms.

This exposure is valuable for MSMEs as India’s e-commerce sector is expected to reach $325 billion by 2030, with an annual growth rate of 21%.

Easy Pay’s inclusion on ONDC offers these small businesses a unique chance to tap into the growing market, reaching customers nationwide.
