Adda247 appoints former NIIT executive Bimaljeet Singh as CEO of skilling and higher education business

Edtech firm Adda247 has announced the appointment of Bimaljeet Singh Bhasin (Bimal) as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Skilling and Higher Education Business. 

Adda247 is one of India's largest online test prep companies, helping learners prepare for various public sector and state/central government exams, as well as university/college entrance exams like CUET, JEE, and NEET.

The platform offers online courses for over 500 exams in more than 12 Indian languages and is backed by investors such as Westbridge, Google, Info Edge, and others.

Expanding into skilling, upskilling business

In his new role at Adda247, Bimal will focus on establishing skilling, upskilling, and higher education businesses in line with Adda247’s vision to empower India's youth by making them job-ready. He will build high-impact and sustainable talent solutions for businesses to capitalize on India's growth story.

Who is Bimaljeet Singh Bhasin?

With nearly 25 years of professional experience, Bimal has held key leadership positions across organizations such as NIIT Limited, Manipal Global Education Services, and Wipro Ltd.

In the last 15+ years in the education and skilling industry, he has been instrumental in launching innovative skilling initiatives in collaboration with companies across various sectors. 

His contributions have helped job aspirants start their careers, existing professionals move up the career ladder, and companies build high-quality talent.

Prior roles and contributions

At NIIT Ltd, where he served as President of Enterprise Business India, Bimal spearheaded the significant transformation and growth of NIIT’s enterprise skilling and reskilling business across multiple sectors.

During his tenure at Manipal Global from 2011 to 2018, he played a pivotal role in setting up and scaling the Manipal Academy of Banking and held leadership roles in Manipal's assessment business.
