New Delhi-based edtech startup Mindler, which operates a career guidance platform for students, today announced it has raised $1.5 million (about Rs 11 crore) in a pre-Series A funding round led by Ecosystem Ventures, Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), nVentures Singapore, and Chennai Angels.
According to a statement, Mindler will infuse the raised capital towards augmenting its team, geographical expansion, and institutional partnerships and alliances to drive growth in the organization. Besides this, It also aims to make some strategic collaborations.
Earlier in January this year, the startup had raised $1 million as part of its pre-Series A round led by Inflection Point Ventures, a Gurugram-based angel investment firm that plans to invest Rs 155 crore in 60 plus startups this year.
Speaking on the development, Prateek Bhargava, Founder & CEO, Mindler, said:
“We are excited to have closed our Pre-Series A round and extend gratitude to our investors for their support and belief in our vision and work. Despite many challenges, the last 15 months have been phenomenal for us. It has been a landmark year for Mindler especially in terms of collaborations and we are geared towards increasing the same in the next few quarters."
He further said that the startup is focusing on both the demand and supply side of the career guidance landscape and creating a sustainable model for long-term client engagement and retention. " We are driving a movement to enable students to take a scientific approach towards career decision making," he adds.
The six-year-old edtech startup provides a technology-enabled ecosystem for career planning and development for students and aims to empower all stakeholders in the student career decision-making journey.
Apart from this, Mindler also enables educators and edtech partners to create their own career guidance ecosystem.
It claims to have witnessed more than 90% client retention rate last year and now it plans to grow 10X within the next calendar year. Additionally, Mindler’s International Certification and Credentialing (ICCC) Program for educators also witnessed over 475% increase with a huge number of educators taking to career guidance. The startup further plans to accelerate the growth of its alumni pool of over 20,000 certified career coaches across the globe.
Last year during the pandemic period, Mindler had launched several new student-first initiatives like the Mindler ‘Scholarship Hunt’ and Mindler ‘Internship Program’.
