The 1.32 lakh-square-foot plant, backed by a phased investment of Rs 250 crore, is now fully operational.

The company said the launch marks a significant step toward reducing import dependence and building advanced, self-reliant manufacturing capabilities in India. To mark the occasion, Elista dispatched its first export consignment from the new facility — 650 premium smart TVs ranging from 43 to 85 inches.

The shipment, valued at Rs 2.55 crore ($300,000), is headed to Dubai under the India–Dubai Free Trade Agreement. Elista said the Kadapa plant represents a milestone in its growth journey and will play a central role in expanding both domestic production and exports.

In Phase 1, the plant will produce up to 1 million Smart TVs and 1 million LED monitors annually, with Phase 2 expanding into washing machines, dishwashers, and smart accessories. The facility already employs over 200 skilled professionals, with numbers set to grow as production ramps up.

“This is more than just a manufacturing launch — it’s a defining chapter in Elista’s journey,” said Saket Gaurav, Chairman & Managing Director, Elista.

“In four years, we’ve gone from being a challenger brand to creating products that stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the best in the world — and now, we are building them here in India. The Kadapa facility is the embodiment of our Make in India ambition, proving that India can deliver premium electronics faster, better, and more cost-effectively to global markets. This milestone strengthens our manufacturing capabilities, boosts employment, improves cost efficiency, and ensures our products are more attuned to the evolving needs of Indian consumers. It positions Elista as not just a consumption-led brand, but as a manufacturing name to watch on the global stage.”

Strategically located near Chennai and Visakhapatnam ports, the Kadapa plant provides Elista with a major logistics edge, cutting shipping times to Dubai to only five days and minimising costs versus conventional OEM hubs.

Fitted with automated assembly lines, robots, and intelligent QA systems, and constructed with green measures like rainwater harvesting, solar inclusion, and ESD-safe areas, the facility embodies Elista's emphasis on precision, performance, and responsible manufacturing.
