Equirus Capital appoints Sahil Shah as Chief Investment Officer and Fund Manager of Equirus Long Horizon Fund

Equirus Capital has appointed Sahil Shah as the new Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Fund Manager of the Equirus Long Horizon Fund (ELHF). 

Shah brings over 17 years of experience in the financial industry to his new role, showcasing a proven track record of success. His career includes a significant tenure at Edelweiss, where he managed the Small Cap Fund and co-managed the Midcap and Multicap funds.

Sahil Shah’s past experience

Before joining Equirus, Sahil Shah oversaw assets under management (AUM) of Rs 3,300 crore at Edelweiss Small Cap Fund. He also played a crucial role in managing the Midcap and Multicap funds.

Shah is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the ICFAI and has worked on both the sell-side as an analyst and the buy-side managing mutual funds and PMS. This diverse background gives him a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics.

What will Sahil Shah’s role entail at Equirus?

As the new CIO, Shah will manage Equirus’s asset management business and lead the ELHF. He will also provide strategic leadership to other equity funds, focusing on investment, research, and management.

Shah will work closely with other fund managers to enhance fund performance and drive the overall success of Equirus's investment offerings.
