Rohit Suri, former President and Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India, has joined mobility-tech startup ReadyAssist as a Senior Advisor.
Suri, who spent over 14 years at JLR India, is widely credited with building the British luxury carmaker’s presence in the Indian market. Under his leadership, Jaguar and Land Rover established a strong brand identity and expanded their footprint in the country by focusing on customer experience, local manufacturing and strategic profitable growth.
What does ReadyAssist do?
Founded in 2015, ReadyAssist provides 24/7 roadside assistance, emergency support, and on-site repairs for internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, electric vehicles (EVs), and CNG-powered vehicles. The startup, which uses technology and AI to manage its operations, is a pioneer in utilising machine learning and data-driven systems to match customer needs with the most suitable service professionals.
Suri’s appointment comes at a time when the startup is seeking to enhance its capabilities in servicing next-generation vehicles and establish stronger partnerships with automotive OEMs. His experience is expected to support the company’s broader strategic goals, including expanding its EV and CNG servicing portfolio and refining & enhancing its customer engagement practices.
It claims to have a service network spanning over 19,000 pin codes and a team of more than 11,000 service providers, including 6,000+ tow trucks and 3,000+ EV-trained mechanics
