Flipkart Has Partnered With Nepal's Sastodeal To Cross-Border Trade For MSME's

Walmart owned the e-commerce marketplace Flipkart entered into a strategic partnership with the Nepalese e-commerce brand Sastodeal to enable cross-border trade for its Indian sellers.

Through this partnership, Indian sellers will be able to sell their products in Nepal. The majority of Flipkart sellers are from the MSME sector, this partnership can benefit them.

According to the reports, under this partnership, Sastodeal will be able to list products from the Flipkart marketplace sellers across different categories like Baby-care, Electronics, Apparels, Sports & Fitness, and among others.

Furthermore, the E-commerce platform Flipkart currently has 200,000 sellers across the country. In which the majority of the sellers are from the MSME sector. This partnership will help small sellers to boost their business growth.

“As MSMEs across the country bounce back and continue to look towards newer avenues for business growth, opportunities like these give them further confidence in the potential of e-commerce platforms", said Flipkart press statement.

Moreover, Flipkart owned private brands Marq and SmartBuy will also get listed in the Sastodeal platform. Products will be listed mainly in three different categories electronics, home appliances, and furnishing.

In the first phase, the partnership will see 5000+ products listed on Sastodeal.
