Flipkart launches ‘Flipkart Quick’ 90-min delivery service in Bengaluru

Walmart owned e-commerce company Flipkart is now to deliver orders in 90-mins under Flipkart Quick delivery service launched in selected areas in Bengaluru.

Besides just delivering grocery, dairy products, and vegetables under Flipkart Quick Service, the service will also ensure delivery of mobiles, electronics, and home accessories under 90-min.

Although this service is available in the selected areas of Bengaluru including--Whitefield, Panathur, HSR Layout, BTM Layout, Banashankari, KR Puram, and Indiranagar.

Flipkart Quick service will include a delivery fee, Customers can choose to order in the next 90 minutes or they can book a 2-hour slot starting with a minimum delivery fee of Rs 29.

Flipkart will be leveraging on-demand logistics service Shadowfax for the quick delivery service in Bengaluru. Flipkart owning company Walmart had invested $60 million in Shadowfax in December last year.

According to the ET report, Flipkart also planning to move a hybrid delivery service by leveraging local Kirana shops and its logistics arm Ekart to fulfill the customers' orders in the given time.

After investing in Shadowfax, and its arm logistics Ekart, Flipkart is now all set to fulfill on-demand grocery delivery service competing with Dunzo and BigBasket’s ‘Express Delivery’ service.
