Eternal Capital rebrands as Sadev Ventures

Eternal Capital, the early-stage venture capital fund founded by former BharatPe chief operating officer Dhruv Dhanraj Bahl, has rebranded itself as Sadev Ventures, a move that brings the fund’s identity in line with the family office name that has long represented its core values.

The rebranding, the firm said, reflects its intent to scale beyond being viewed as a “capital-only” investor, focusing instead on building companies that can grow into generational institutions.

“As our vision goes deeper into India’s entrepreneurial fabric while simultaneously tapping financial, social and intellectual capital pools across borders, it’s the right time to scale under an identity that has resonated with all our longstanding stakeholders,” Bahl said.

Launched in mid-2024, the fund manages a corpus of Rs 120 crore (about $14 million), with the option to raise an additional Rs 120 crore. It has already invested nearly half of the fund across 20 startups, including consumer and technology ventures such as Asaya, Cleevo, Cookd, Gladful, Hypergro, Bidso and Liquide.

Sadev Ventures remains sector-agnostic, writing checks of Rs 2 crore to Rs 6 crore at the seed to pre-Series A stage, with a focus on startups that have crossed product-market fit and are on track toward profitable growth. Its operator-led model blends capital with founder support and access to a global network of limited partners and strategic partners.

The firm’s advisory board includes Suhail Sameer, the former chief executive of BharatPe; Miten Sampat, president at CRED; and Nikhil Bhandarkar, founder of Panthera Peak. Investors backing the fund include Chris Bayley of CoverGenius, Vish Sowani of Visa, Deep Kalra of MakeMyTrip, Nalin Negi of BharatPe, Shaily Mehrotra of FixDerma and Vikas Gupta of VLCC.

Sadev Ventures said its existing portfolio, team and operating structure will remain unchanged under the new brand.
