Former cricketer Yuvraj Singh invests in Gurugram's FMCG brand Greto

Yuvraj Singh, a former international cricketer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, has invested an undisclosed amount in Greto, a food and beverage brand based in Gurugram. As part of the investment, Yuvraj will assist the brand with marketing and promotional activities.

What are the offerings of Greto?

Founded by Sanchit Tyagi, Divyanshu Rao, and Abhishek Rao, Greto is a food and beverage brand that offers a range of tasty and healthy products. The brand currently boasts a portfolio of 40 items across various categories, such as Probiotic Drinks, Natural Ice Cream, and Fruit Yogurt, along with a wide variety of snacks.

The brand plans to set up a franchisee network 

In the coming months, Mahu Tasty Foods plans to set up a franchise network for Greto. The brand plans to open 100 Greto franchises in the next 6-12 months, starting with Delhi-NCR.

It also plans to expand the franchise network to Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and other major states across the country.

“We have invested substantial time and effort in studying market conditions, identifying trends and pinpointing opportunities that resonate with our brand. This has allowed us to chart a way forward that not only capitalizes on current market dynamics but also positions Greto as a frontrunner in the industry," said Mahu Tasty Foods’ Co-Founder Abhishek Rao.

Rao further mentioned that establishing a Greto franchise store would require an investment of around Rs 25-30 lakh. This estimate includes several aspects like location, store size, interior setup, equipment, and initial inventory and operational costs.

Yuvraj Singh's investment in the Indian startup ecosystem

Yuvraj Singh, who is the founder of YouWeCan Ventures and FreeTalktime, is also an investor in JetSetGo, Sports365, Wellversed, and Upswing. In 2020, Singh, through YouWeCan (YWC) Ventures, reportedly invested in startups, including Healthians, Holosuit, JetSetGo, EasyDiner, Wellversed etc.
