GD Goenka Group appoints Varun Reddy Sevva as CHRO

Varun Reddy Sevva is a seasoned professional in Human Resources with a career spanning over 14 years. 

His expertise lies in employee engagement, talent management, HR operations, and compliance. Sevva has earned recognition for his innovative approaches and significant contributions to various organizations, including Samsung Electronics and Apollo Tyres.

Varun Reddy Sevva's prior work experience

Sevva's career began with a summer internship at BSNL in 2005. He joined the State Trading Corporation of India (STC) in 2009 as an assistant manager and was quickly promoted to deputy manager due to his exceptional performance.

In 2013, he moved to Apollo Tyres, where he was responsible for HR operations across multiple regions in India. Later, he joined Samsung Electronics, where he managed HR and General Affairs (GA) for various branches and earned multiple accolades for his contributions.

Sevva also served as the CHRO at Navtech and has been an advisor to startups and educational institutions.

What are Sevva’s educational qualifications?

Varun Reddy Sevva holds an MBA in Human Resources from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow, a B.Tech from NIT Kurukshetra, and a PGDM in HRM from XLRI Jamshedpur.

He is also certified in Corporate Governance and Business and Human Rights, highlighting his commitment to ethical leadership and advanced HR practices.
