FlixBus’s entry into South India adds to its growing network, now connecting 101 cities and 215 stops across the country.

One of the most anticipated routes is the daily Bengaluru-Belagavi service. The luxury air-conditioned sleeper bus departs from Bengaluru’s Majestic bus terminal at 9:10 PM and arrives in Belagavi by 6:55 AM the next day.

The return service from Belagavi departs at 9:15 PM and reaches Bengaluru at 6:25 AM.

The company claims that each bus features advanced safety features like ABS (anti-lock braking system), ESC (electronic stability control), and two-point seat belts for all passengers.

Karnataka's Minister MB Patil's comment

Karnataka's Minister for Commerce & Industries, Infrastructure, MB Patil, remarked, “FlixBus will address the long-distance mobility needs of people in Karnataka and the southern region with a technology-driven, collective transport alternative.”

In addition, FlixBus has partnered with six local bus operators in South India, aiming to boost their operations by leveraging its digital platform.

The partnership allows local operators to optimize their services, reach a wider audience, and ensure a consistent travel experience for passengers.

Future expansion plans

Looking ahead, FlixBus plans to expand further across South India, adding a total of 33 cities and over 200 new connections across Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala.

“This expansion is not just about adding new routes; it’s about bringing world-class technology to local partners, ensuring that passengers enjoy a seamless and consistent travel experience across all our services," said Surya Khurana, the company's Managing Director.
