Vargab Bakshi
GoKwik, the e-commerce enablement platform that supports over 12,000 brands, has named Vargab Bakshi as its Chief Growth Officer, strengthening its leadership bench as it accelerates global expansion and product-driven growth.
In his new role, Bakshi will spearhead GoKwik’s overall growth strategy, overseeing marketing, brand positioning, partnerships, product-led growth (PLG), and international expansion efforts. His remit includes scaling GoKwik’s suite of software tools for online merchants, including those integrated with platforms like Shopify.
Bakshi brings more than a decade of experience in building internet-first businesses. He was part of the founding team at Shopify India, where he helped establish the platform's go-to-market strategy across India and other emerging markets. He also led the APAC partner ecosystem and played a pivotal role in positioning Shopify as a preferred choice for direct-to-consumer (D2C) entrepreneurs and developers.
After his stint at Shopify, Bakshi served as Vice President and Country Head for India at Wix.com, overseeing marketing, enterprise sales, partnerships, and product localisation. He was instrumental in driving adoption of the platform among digital agencies and non-technical users.
“Vargab brings a rare blend of ecosystem thinking, product-led growth and global GTM expertise with a strong empathy for merchants from his Shopify days,” said Chirag Taneja, Co-founder and CEO of GoKwik. “As we scale our presence across borders, his leadership will be key in building a growth engine that is brand-led, product-first, and global by design. We’re excited to have him onboard.”
GoKwik’s appointment comes amid heightened momentum for the startup. The startup recently raised $13 million in a growth round led by RTP Global, adding to its roster of existing investors. With a shopper network of over 130 million, GoKwik offers a range of products aimed at improving conversion and checkout experiences for D2C brands such as Lenskart, Neeman’s, Shoppers Stop, and Man Matters.
Bakshi also created GrowKwik, a content-driven learning platform under GoKwik that has amassed over 500,000 followers across Instagram and YouTube. The platform aims to educate and empower ecommerce founders through strategic insights and operational guidance.
“After years of helping ecommerce businesses scale at Shopify and Wix, joining GoKwik felt like a natural next step. GoKwik sits at the intersection of data, AI, consumer behavior, and commerce enablement, building truly India-first, yet globally scalable solutions for online merchants,” Bakshi said.
