Gupshup appoints marketing leader Salim Ali as Chief Marketing Officer

Gupshup, a global conversational engagement platform, has appointed Salim Ali as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Based in Silicon Valley, Salim will spearhead full-stack marketing across the value chain and all market routes.

With nearly 30 years of experience, he will oversee marketing strategies to support Gupshup’s global growth and expansion.

Who is Salim Ali?

Salim brings a wealth of experience in building and scaling business lines at both large enterprises and startups.


In his previous role, he served as the Chief Marketing Officer at WordPress VIP, where he oversaw the brand voice, product marketing, demand generation, and customer marketing.

Prior to WordPress VIP, he held senior positions at SAP, Avalara, and Veritas Technologies, managing global teams across North America, Latin America, the UK/EU, MENA, and APJ regions.

Salim holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and an M.S. in Computer Science from Louisiana State University.
