The world's richest man and X owner Elon Musk has reiterated his offer to pay Wikipedia $1 billion if the free online encyclopedia changes its name to “Dickipedia” for at least one year.
The billionaire first made the proposal in October last year, questioning the Wikimedia Foundation’s financial dealings and suggesting the rebranding would be “in the interests of accuracy.”
Have you ever wondered why the Wikimedia Foundation wants so much money?

It certainly isn’t needed to operate Wikipedia. You can literally fit a copy of the entire text on your phone!
So, what’s the money for? Inquiring minds want to know …
The conversation resurfaced when a user "Doge Designer" reposted Musk’s initial comments on X, prompting Musk to confirm that the offer “still stands.”
True. Offer still stands 🤣🤣

Musk, whose net worth exceeds $450 billion, first criticized Wikipedia’s funding model before pledging his billion-dollar deal on the condition of a formal name change.
Wikipedia has rejected the offer in the past, standing by its existing platform model and mission to provide free, unbiased information to readers worldwide. In the original post, Musk argued that the nonprofit foundation’s costs did not align with what he deemed necessary for its operations.
He added in a separate post: “I will give them a billion dollars if they change their name to Dickipedia... in the interests of accuracy.”
