Passionate employees often don't care about work hours. For them, work is life and life is work, especially if they are Indians.
US-based startup CEO Roshan Patel shared a similar incident in a post on X (formerly Twitter). Patel shared a screenshot in which he asks an employee to take a day off, but the employee insists he does not need one.
"Hey, I noticed you haven’t taken any time off in a while. Just checking in and definitely encourage you to take a break if needed," Patel wrote.

Now most of us wouldn’t hesitate to take a day or two off, but this dedicated employee did something that we wouldn't consider in seven lifetimes.
The employee said, "I don’t need a break, sir. My body is a vessel for the company to find product market fit."
Netizens reaction
The post has so far garnered over 5 million views, and many users took to the comment section to share their reactions and opinions.
"This is great. The quicker you realize the most important thing in life is delivering shareholder value, the quicker you’ll get ahead!" a user wrote.
Another user posted a picture that read, "My body is a machine that turns anxiety into B2B SaaS."

"Damn, this guy knows the script. I’m guessing he’s got 14 jobs and a team of 8 delivering the work," a third user wrote.
"I hope the poor soul has enough equity. I was this kind of soul until I realized how much of my life was in the rearview mirror," a fourth remarked.

When the Indian engineer falls ill in early 30s due to gut health issues or back issues
he will not realize that the encouragement he received for this cortisol driven development, was the key reason which set him on this path for lack of balance + self-sabotage
