Edtech giant Byju's, which has been facing a series of problems, is now again in trouble as the Indian government has reportedly ordered an inspection of its account books.
The development comes after the resignation of its auditor Deloitte and three board members last month.
According to a Bloomberg report, The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has sought a report in the next six weeks.
The inspection follows an internal assessment of the company’s state of affairs and — based on findings of the inspection — the government will decide if the matter needs to be escalated to the Serious Fraud Investigation Office, the report added.
