Practo goes to the US after a successful UAE debut

IPO-bound digital healthcare platform Practo has launched its care navigation platform in the United States, marking its most significant international expansion to date after an earlier entry into the UAE last year.

The company said it has listed over 200,000 doctors across specialties in the US and reached an annualised gross merchandise value (GMV) run rate of more than $75 million. Monthly active users have crossed 300,000, with overall traffic in the US growing nearly six-fold since April 2025.

Practo said early adoption has been strongest in dental and mental health, where more than 500 doctors across over 150 clinics, hospitals and independent practices are already monetised through paid subscriptions.

Commenting on the expansion, Shashank ND, co-founder and CEO of Practo, said the US launch reflects the platform’s ability to address trust, depth and care navigation even in complex healthcare systems.

“We believe the next era will be organised around outcomes and informed choice. With one of the world’s richest healthcare datasets, Practo is building the infrastructure that helps people navigate care with confidence, across geographies, specialties, and systems. Entering the US is an important milestone, but our larger mission is to improve health outcomes at scale by making every healthcare decision more informed, timely, and accountable,” he said.

As it expands into additional specialties, the company aims to move beyond primary care to enable discovery, booking and access to specialists and surgical pathways through a single integrated platform.

To support further scale-up, Practo is strengthening its on-ground US team to accelerate onboarding of independent practices, clinics, hospitals and larger healthcare chains. The company is also evaluating strategic acquisitions to deepen provider networks and broaden specialty coverage.
