Fintech company Infibeam Avenues has introduced the CCAvenue SoundBox Max, an advanced and cost-effective Point of Sale (POS) device designed to meet the payment acceptance needs of merchants across India.
According to the company, the new device is positioned to significantly transform how retailers and merchants process payments, providing them with a comprehensive solution that goes beyond traditional methods.
The company announced the launch at Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2024 in Mumbai.
Addressing market needs with multi-payment capabilities
The CCAvenue SoundBox Max is not just another payment device; it is a response to the specific demands of the market.
Infibeam said merchants and retailers have long expressed the need for a device that supports more than just UPI payments.
The incorporation of debit and credit card payment options in the CCAvenue SoundBox Max addresses this gap, allowing merchants to accept a wider range of payments, including UPI QR codes, debit cards, and credit cards.
"Our CCAvenue SoundBox Max is designed to reshape the payment landscape for retailers and merchants, offering them the flexibility to accept payments from multiple sources—UPI, debit cards, and credit cards," said Vishwas Patel, Joint Managing Director of Infibeam Avenues Ltd.
Key features enhancing retail operations
The CCAvenue SoundBox Max has several features that simplify and secure transactions. It supports static and dynamic QR payments, contactless (NFC) payments, and chip-based credit and debit card transactions.
The device also includes a built-in SoundBox that audibly confirms transaction success in multiple languages, making it suitable for diverse retail environments.
Additionally, the device’s design includes a large front-facing display that shows order amounts and transaction statuses, while the rear display and keypad facilitate easy navigation for entering transaction details and card PINs. It also has long-lasting battery life and quick C-Type charging.
Enhancing capabilities
Infibeam Avenues is also gearing up to enhance the CCAvenue SoundBox Max with additional value-added features, such as Card EMI and Brand EMI options, catering to diverse retail sectors, including supermarkets, quick-service restaurants, salons, fashion boutiques, and more.
The device is compliant with EMV L1, L2, PCI PTS, CE, FCC, and RoHS standards, it said.
The company has entered into agreements with several key players, including Karnataka Bank, ICICI Bank, ShopSe, Citibank India, PayMyTV, Cars24, Muthoot FinCorp ONE, Loylty Rewardz, Society on Click, Chalo App, and BHIM, to deliver cutting-edge solutions that further enhance the payment ecosystem.
