Info Edge elevates Jatin Thukral to Chief AI Scientist and Naukri Chief Product Officer

Info Edge (India) Limited has elevated Jatin Thukral, Executive Vice President and Head of Data Science, to the dual role of Chief AI Scientist for the parent company and Chief Product Officer for its flagship platform, Naukri.

The move is part of a broader senior-leadership reorganisation approved by the Board through a circular resolution dated October 30, 2025, and will take effect November 3.

The company said the realignment reflects its strategy to deepen AI-driven product innovation and strengthen operational efficiency across its recruitment businesses.

Thukral, who joined Info Edge in 2020, has been leading the AI Lab at Naukri along with the data-science teams for 99acres, Jeevansathi, and Shiksha. A PhD from ETH Zurich and a CFA charterholder, he brings nearly two decades of experience spanning AI, machine learning, and business strategy, with previous stints at BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, and Flipkart, where he headed data-science research.

The appointment comes as Info Edge intensifies its AI-first strategy, positioning AI as a core growth driver across business verticals. In its FY25 annual report, the company said it recorded a 15 to 20% improvement in key metrics from enterprise-wide AI adoption. Its AI initiatives span search and personalisation, new AI-led products like Naukri 360 and AI-Rex, and data-driven analytics tools. At the end of FY25, Info Edge had a 130-member AI team and plans to expand the integration of generative AI and automation to unlock new monetisation avenues.

“Info Edge is increasingly focusing on technology, data and platform innovation by investing in AI/ML and personalisation to make its platforms smarter, scalable and more human-centric,” the company ealier said.

As part of the reorganisation, Nimish Kulshrestha, Executive Vice President for Product Development, has been redesignated Chief Business Officer for IIMJobs, Hirist and NaukriGulf. Shail Gaurav, Executive Vice President for Marketing, has been appointed Chief Business Officer for Naukri 360 and Head of B2C Marketing. Atul Kumar will cease to be classified as senior management personnel following the organisational restructure.
