After OYO CEO Ritesh Agarwal and Deepinder Goyal, Inshorts Co-founder & CEO Azhar Iqubal has become the newest judge of Shark Tank India Season 3.

“The news is out! Introducing the newest Shark. Azhar Iqubal, cofounder and CEO, Inshorts to the Tank,” said the official handle of the TV show on X, formerly Twitter.

Prior to this, Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal and OYO CEO Ritesh Agarwal joined as judges of the upcoming Season 3.

What does Inshorts do?

Inshorts, which began as a Facebook page, with Deepit Purkayastha and Anunay Arunav, in 2013,  is an online aggregator app that summarizes news articles in 60 words and covers a wide range of topics, including tech and politics.

The startup has raised over $150 million in funding till date from investors, including Vy Capital, Addition, SIG Global India Fund, Tanglin Venture Partners, Tiger Global Management, and A91 Partners.

Azhar Iqubal joins existing sharks

With this, Azhar Iqubal has joined existing sharks, including Aman Gupta (Co-founder of boAt), Amit Jain (Co-founder of CarDekho), Anupam Mittal (People Group), Namita Thapar (Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Vineeta Singh (Co-founder of Sugar Cosmetics), and Peyush Bansal (Co-founder of Lenskart), Ritesh Agarwal (OYO CEO), and Deepinder Goyal (Zomato CEO).

While there is no confirmation whether Deepinder Goyal will stay till the end of the season, A report from Moneycontrol stated the Deepinder Doyal will be judge for only two episodes of Shark Tank India Season 3.
