IRCTC partners with Delhi Metro to provide QR code-based tickets

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), an online train ticket booking platform, today said it has signed a MoU with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) with the aim of providing QR code based DMRC tickets through its online platform.

The company said the partnership will benefit passengers of both IRCTC and DMRC by streamlining the travel experience and reducing the time spent in queues at stations.

"Pursuant to Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, this is to inform you that IRCTC has signed a MoU with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on August 14, 2023, for providing QR code-based DMRC tickets through IRCTC Platform," IRCTC said in an exchange filing.

The development comes days after IRCTC announced its Q1FY24 results. The company reported a fall in standalone net profit by 5.42% to Rs 232.21 crore, compared to Rs 245.52 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
