Peak XV Partners to fund Zoop, India’s first interactive video bazaar

While there are some sectors that become hot for a few months, there are a few that are evergreen. And commerce is one of them. Peak XV Partners is looking to ride that exact wave.

The investor is preparing to invest Rs 25-30 crore in Zoop, touted as India’s first interactive video bazaar, sources privy to the information told IndianStartupNews (ISN). 

This will be the maiden funding for Gurgaon-based Zoop is a platform enabling sellers to livestream across multiple channels. 

“We've always been drawn to the charm of personalised experiences and curated stores that speak our language and offer something truly unique…We're bridging the gap between discovery and delight,” according to the website.

Founded by Abhishek Nevatia, Raghav Dalela and Sanchi Virmani, the team is a young and enthusiastic one. The company’s website says “our average age is 25” and it has about 11-50 employees as per Linkedin. 

According to Tracxn, it competes with BulBul, Sim Sim, Pesopie, ShoprTV. 

“The best way to describe Zoop? It is like those HomeShop18 channels but for the modern consumer with better tech,” a source concluded.
