A 30-year-old delivery man was allegedly murdered by two individuals during an iPhone delivery, according to police reports on Monday.

The victim had gone to deliver the phone to one of the accused, who was supposed to pay Rs 1.5 lakh for the product. Authorities said the suspects disposed of the body in the Indira Canal, and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has been deployed to locate it.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Shashank Singh said that Gajanan, a resident of Chinhat, had ordered the iPhone, worth approximately Rs 1.5 lakh, from Flipkart using the Cash on Delivery (COD) option.

"On September 23, delivery boy Bharat Sahu, from Nishatganj, went to deliver the phone to Gajanan. He was killed by Gajanan and his accomplice. After strangling Sahu, they placed his body in a sack and dumped it in the Indira Canal," Singh said.
