Mamaearth-parent Honasa elevates Karan Bajwa as CHRO and Avinash Dhagat as CSCO

Honasa Consumer Limited, the parent company of personal care brand Mamaearth, has elevated two of its senior executives to CXO roles as part of its broader leadership restructuring.

Effective April 24, Karan Bajwa has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), while Avinash Dhagat takes over as Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO). Both leaders have also been designated as senior management personnel of the company.


Who is Karan Bajwa?

Bajwa, who joined Honasa in April 2021, previously served as Senior Vice President – Human Resources. He brings extensive experience from his earlier roles at Airtel and Reckitt, having worked across talent acquisition, total rewards, mergers and acquisitions, and HR strategy.

A graduate of SCMHRD with an MBA in Human Resources, Bajwa also holds a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication from Panjab University.


Avinash Dhagat's experience

Dhagat, also with the company since April 2021, was formerly Senior Vice President – Supply Chain. Before joining Honasa, he held leadership roles in demand and supply planning at L’Oréal, Supermax, and Ashok Leyland. He is an alumnus of SP Jain School of Global Management with an MBA in Supply Chain and Logistics, and earned his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Warangal.

The leadership changes come shortly after the resignation of Anuja Mishra as Chief Marketing Officer. Varun Alagh, CEO and whole-time director of Honasa, has taken interim charge of the CMO responsibilities. Alagh is leading the company through a pivotal phase as it focuses on profitability and organisational stability.

In its third quarter of FY25, Mamaearth returned to the black, posting a profit after tax of Rs 26 crore. Revenue also grew 5.9% year-over-year, rising to Rs 517 crore from Rs 488 crore in the same quarter the previous year.
