The Ministry of Labour & Employment has entered into a significant partnership with APNA, a job recruitment platform.

The ministry says this agreement will bring over 10 lakh new job opportunities annually to the National Career Service portal, known as the NCS Portal.

The goal of this collaboration is to make it easier for young job seekers to find suitable openings and strengthen India’s domestic job market, as per the statement.

Collaboration for greater employment opportunities

Under this MoU, APNA will share a large number of vacancies with the NCS Portal, which is already a vital link between job seekers and employers. The government notes that the portal currently has more than 40 lakh registered employers and has processed around 4.40 crore job openings since its launch. At any given time, nearly 10 lakh vacancies are available, ensuring a steady flow of opportunities for people looking for work.

Focus on inclusive hiring

The partnership is designed to provide broader employment options in both metro and non-metro cities, while also promoting fair and inclusive hiring practices.

The Ministry of Labour & Employment emphasizes that women and persons with disabilities will be given the same chances as everyone else and that recruiters will be encouraged to offer equal opportunities for all applicants. This approach, the ministry believes, will contribute to a more diverse and welcoming job market.

User-friendly integration

Another key feature of this collaboration is the smooth integration of APNA’s listings on the NCS Portal. The ministry says it will provide a user-friendly interface both online and offline, making it easier for job seekers across different regions to apply.

In addition, APNA will gain access to the NCS Portal’s wide candidate database, creating a larger talent pool for potential employers to choose from.

By bringing employers and job seekers together in one central platform, the MoU aims to help young people and job hunters from all backgrounds find work that matches their skills and aspirations.
