Garuda Aerospace unveils 1st ever drone showroom

Homegrown drone startup Garuda Aerospace has launched the country’s first exclusive drone showroom in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. 

The showroom offers a variety of drones for both enthusiasts and professionals, available for direct purchase. This initiative is seen as a major advancement in the accessibility and awareness of drone technology in India.

Providing an immersive experience for customers

The state-of-the-art showroom provides an immersive experience for customers with high-tech interactive drone simulators that use VR goggles to offer a realistic drone flying experience.

It also features a Live LED wall where visitors can book and reserve drone services.

The showroom caters to various drone applications, including First-Person View (FPV), videography, surveillance, agriculture, inspections, and recreational flying. This facility is designed to be a one-stop shop for all drone-related needs.

Plans to expand presence

Garuda Aerospace plans to expand its presence by opening showrooms in 20 major cities across India within the next 6-8 months. This move aims to make drone technology more accessible nationwide.

The startup also aims to establish 300 showrooms across India to foster greater adoption of drone technology. The expansion is expected to significantly boost consumer awareness and direct sales of drones.

Agnishwar Jayaprakash, Founder and CEO of Garuda Aerospace, expressed his commitment to making drone technology accessible and user-friendly for everyone. Dr. R Velraj, Vice Chancellor of Anna University, praised Garuda Aerospace's pioneering efforts in developing cutting-edge drone technology, stating, “Garuda Aerospace’s first drone showroom is creating a revolution, with further plans for 300 pan-India to empower future drone adoption. Recognizing drones as the future, we at Anna University are planning a dedicated curriculum to equip a skilled workforce for Garuda’s high-volume drone production across multiple applications.” 

Garuda Aerospace's market presence

Garuda Aerospace, founded in 2015, has grown from a five-member team to over 200 professionals. The startup operates a fleet of over 400 drones and 500 skilled pilots across 84 cities.

Garuda Aerospace has sold 2,500 drones so far, including 2,000 agri drones. The company plans to sell 25,000 agri drones in the next two years and at least 25,000 other consumer drones in the next few years.

Notably, Garuda Aerospace is the first drone company in India to receive dual DGCA approvals for manufacturing small and medium-category drones and pilot training.

With a presence in over 400 districts, Garuda Aerospace holds a 50% market share in the Precision Agri Drone market and owns 20% of all registered drones in India, solidifying its leadership in the industry.
