Multilingual learning platform Adda247 acquires CA Test-prep platform Ekagrata

Indian multilingual learning platform Adda247 has acquired Ekagrata Eduserv for an undisclosed sum, marking its entry into the Rs 800 crore CA test preparation market and expanding its offerings in the competitive exam preparation sector.

Ekagrata is known for its focus on Chartered Accountancy (CA) test preparation. 

Acquisition to lead growth in user base

This acquisition is expected to significantly expand Adda247's user base, which currently stands at 40 million monthly users.

By integrating Ekagrata's expertise in CA preparation, the company aims to capture a substantial share of the booming CA test preparation market. 

The synergy between Adda247's extensive reach and Ekagrata's domain expertise is expected to create a powerful learning experience for aspiring chartered accountants.

Who will lead the new CA category at Adda247?

As part of the acquisition, Ekagrata's founders and employees will become integral members of Adda247. Anshul Agrawal, the founder of Ekagrata, will be appointed as the Director of the CA vertical at Adda247.

He will lead the category, ensuring that the integration of Ekagrata into Adda247 is seamless and beneficial for CA aspirants.

The acquisition is part of Adda247's broader strategy to diversify its offerings and strengthen its position in the educational sector.

Adda247's prior acquisitions

Prior to the latest acquisition, Adda247 acquired StudyIQ in January 2021 and Veeksha in July 2023.

The company recently announced expansion into the Skilling, Up-Skilling, and higher education sectors to empower youth by making them job-ready and creating high-impact, sustainable talent solutions for businesses.

Co-founded in 2016 by Anil Nagar and Saurabh Bansal, Adda247 offers live online classes, on-demand video courses, mock tests, and e-books.

So far, The company has raised over $55 million in funding and was valued at $175 million during its last fundraise in October 2022.
