What does Aurm do?

Aurm collaborates with banks and property developers to offer clients secure and technologically advanced safe-deposit vaults.

The startup is filling a significant void in India’s safety deposit vault supply, particularly for the country’s wealthy metropolitan residents.

Arisetty emphasized Aurm's goal: “Aurm is addressing a major gap in the availability of safety deposit lockers in India, especially for the urban affluent individuals and households. Our aim is to provide state-of-the-art safety deposit boxes enabled with the latest technology that are accessible and provide a secure solution to this problem.”

How is Aurm ensuring security?

Aurm said that its vaults are equipped with advanced security measures, including active surveillance, intrusion detection systems, and military-grade security infrastructure.

The company's culture is deeply influenced by the values of security and defence, which is evident from the discipline, attention to detail, and process orientation that veterans bring to the team.

Arisetty stated, “Security and protection run in the company’s DNA. I see the discipline, eye for detail and process orientation that veterans bring to Aurm, which is critical to build trustworthy relationships with our customers and partners.”

Shortage of safe deposit lockers

Arisetty's insights into the market need to reveal a massive shortage of safe-deposit lockers in India.

He highlighted, “I realized that 90% of urban affluent Indians don’t have access to a locker. In addition, the existing infrastructure needs an upgrade to keep up with evolving methods of theft and armed robbery.” Aurm aims to address this shortage by offering lockers that are not only secure but also easily accessible and convenient for urban residents.

Aurm aims to revolutionize the safety deposit industry in India by combining high-end security, privacy, and insurance coverage of up to Rs 25 lakh.

Arisetty, along with his co-founders Ganesh Balakrishnan, Suraj HS, and Pratap Chandana, plans to leverage deep research and consumer insights to continuously improve and expand their services.
