Sharon Pais moves to Flipkart to head fashion business unit

Sharon Pais

Sharon Pais, fashion e-tailer Myntra’s chief business officer, has moved to Flipkart to take charge as business unit head for Flipkart Fashion.

Pais replaces Kunal Gupta, who now leads Minutes, Flipkart’s quick-commerce arm, following the exit of Kabeer Biswas.

Before joining Myntra as chief business officer in 2021, Pais spent nearly eight years at Flipkart across multiple roles. She began in January 2014 as sales and revenue lead for books before moving to category marketing for books, general merchandise, and home. She later headed Flipkart’s loyalty and travel division before shifting to Myntra in 2021.

The leadership shuffle marks one of several internal transitions underway within the Flipkart Group. In 2024, Myntra CEO Nandita Sinha took over as Flipkart’s fashion vertical head after the exit of Arief Mohamad; Pais will now report to Sinha in her new role.

At the same time, Kannan Ganesan is set to become Myntra’s chief financial officer from December 1, succeeding Abhishek Gupta, who is stepping down after four years. Ganesan currently serves as vice president of business finance at Flipkart.

It's worth noting that Flipkart is intensifying its focus on profitability ahead of a planned IPO.

Meanwhile, Myntra, Flipkart’s fashion and beauty subsidiary, crossed Rs 6,000 crore in revenue during FY25. Controlled spending and sustained growth across categories helped it post a near 18-fold jump in profit to Rs 548.3 crore, compared with Rs 31 crore a year earlier, marking a sharp turnaround from a loss of Rs 782 crore in FY23.
