Myntra gets India franchise rights for UK-based fashion retailer NEXT

E-commerce giant Myntra has secured the India franchise rights for the UK's premier fashion brand, NEXT, to amplify its presence in the Asian market.

By securing these rights, Myntra will directly challenge giants like Tata and Reliance in the fashion space, where both companies have been expanding rapidly.

The partnership aims to tap into the burgeoning Indian market and offer a wide range of apparel for children, women, and men through both physical stores and online platforms. The partnership will allow Myntra Jabong Pvt Ltd to distribute its products on a wholesale basis.

With a successful trajectory of growing NEXT online in India, our first year of working together has resulted in establishing the right product, audience and price fit in the country."

"With a strong playbook in exponentially building adoption for global brands ground-up, we are looking forward to unlocking the next phase of growth in the brand’s India scale-up journey," Sinha added.

Expanding the fashion horizon

The collaboration between Myntra and NEXT is not just limited to bringing NEXT's apparel to the Indian market. Myntra will also introduce other brands wholly or partly owned by NEXT, such as Reiss, Lipsy, Joules, Love and Roses, and Friends Like These.

Notably, The development further bolsters Myntra’s internationally licensed brand portfolio, which includes multiple leading global brands.
