myTVS, part of TVS Mobility Group, has launched its 'Mobility-as-a-Service' (MaaS) platform, which aims to provide comprehensive vehicle management solutions for electric vehicle (EV) fleets across India.
The platform is specifically designed for last-mile EV fleet operators and marks a significant step in supporting businesses that are shifting towards sustainable mobility solutions.
With a wide array of services, the MaaS platform is set to become a crucial tool for fleet operators looking to streamline their operations and optimize fleet efficiency.
Comprehensive solutions for fleet management
The MaaS platform offers a wide range of services that cover every aspect of EV fleet management. It includes vehicle leasing, real-time fleet monitoring, spare parts management through a digital catalogue of 1.8 lakh SKUs, charging solutions, telematics, roadside assistance, insurance, and tyre management.
Additionally, myTVS is providing refurbishment services to extend the operational lifespan of EV fleets, which adds considerable value to the businesses using the platform.
By integrating these services, myTVS aims to meet the growing needs of fleet operators who are rapidly transitioning to electric vehicles to align with their sustainability goals.
G Srinivasa Raghavan, Managing Director of myTVS, said, “The ‘MaaS’ platform is built to meet the evolving needs of fleet operators and ensure sustainability in the growing quick commerce segment. With over 1,000 service outlets nationwide, we can deliver seamless service across India."
Partnership with MoEVing for quick commerce
To strengthen its MaaS platform, myTVS has partnered with EV-based logistics company MoEVing to offer customized solutions, especially for quick commerce operators who rely heavily on efficient and sustainable delivery options.
“Our partnership with myTVS addresses a critical market need. The ‘MaaS’ platform offers a complete solution that aligns with our mission to accelerate EV adoption in India," said Vikash Mishra, CEO of MoEVing.
Scaling up operations and fleet electrification
myTVS plans to expand its electric fleet, aiming to add 10,000 electric two-wheelers by March 2024. The company has already rolled out an initial batch of 250 electric two-wheelers and 50 light commercial vehicles.
The development is part of a broader effort to meet the growing demand for electrification in the e-commerce sector, with an estimated need to electrify one million vehicles over the next five to ten years.
According to Raghavan, "The opportunity window is that 10 lakh vehicles have to be electrified in the next 5 to 10 years in the e-commerce space. We see an immediate need of having to do at least 10,000 vehicles by March."
The company plans to invest Rs 100 to Rs 150 crore in this venture.
Expanding service network for future growth
With over one million customers across India, myTVS is looking to expand its service network. The company plans to add 2,500 new service outlets over the next two years, positioning itself to capture 10-12% of the market share in the growing EV ecosystem.
myTVS’s MaaS platform is flexible and adaptable, making it suitable for partnerships with OEMs, insurers, financial service providers, and leasing companies.
