Nestasia, a growing home and lifestyle brand, has announced the appointment of Sahil Barua, co-founder and CEO of logistics major Delhivery, to its board of directors.

The strategic move comes as Nestasia sharpens its focus on scaling operations, building a robust omni-channel distribution network, and preparing for a potential public listing.

Sahil Barua brings extensive experience in building Delhivery into one of India’s leading logistics companies. With a background in mechanical engineering from NIT Surathkal and a management degree from IIM Bangalore, Barua also worked as a consultant with Bain & Company before launching Delhivery.

His deep knowledge of logistics and operational excellence is expected to play a critical role in shaping Nestasia’s next chapter.

“Sahil’s journey of building a tech-first, high-performance company from the ground up offers us a lens to reimagine scale, execution, and sustained consumer delight,” said Anurag Agrawal, co-founder of Nestasia. The company is currently expanding its presence in both online and offline retail.

Nestasia's market presence

Founded in 2019 by Aditi Murarka and Anurag Agrawal, Nestasia now offers more than 7,000 products across eight categories, ranging from kitchenware to home décor. Its clientele includes renowned hospitality names like the Taj Group, JW Marriott, and the Prestige Group.

In 2024, the company opened seven exclusive brand outlets across six cities and plans to increase this number to 30 by the end of 2025.

Bhavani Rana of Susquehanna International Group praised Barua’s addition to the board, saying, “Sahil’s experience in building Delhivery into a logistics powerhouse brings invaluable perspective, and his deep understanding of operational complexity will be instrumental in supporting Nestasia’s next phase of growth.”

In September 2024, Nestasia raised $8.35 million from investors including Susquehanna Asia VC, Stellaris Venture Partners, and other angel backers to accelerate expansion, strengthen its product lines, and build its brand. The company plans to introduce new collections like Nest Baby & Kids, while continuing to broaden its kitchen, drinkware, and home appliance categories.
