This will be the first time online OTT platform Netflix will be offering free content on its platform for even non-member users. The company said We are confident that once the user watches the content they will be convinced to buy the subscription.

Netflix, The OTT (over-the-top) platform, that entered the Indian market in 2016, the platform has been a consistent with most of its plans since its launch in the country.

According to the Comparitech, Netflix is having more than 2m+ users in 2019, following Amazon-owned Amazon Prime Video is having more than 10m+ users in India alone.

Furthermore, Netflix is looking to grow its market in India by offering selected free content for even non-members. Netflix is offering this feature globally and this offering is a part of their global marketing and promotion strategy.

The free content list includes Netflix original movies such as Murder Mystery, Baby Boss back in Business, Bird Box, and The Two Popes, and shows such as Stranger Things, Elite, When They See Us, Love is Blind, Our Planet, and Grace and Frankie.

Netflix also mentioned that if the non-members' user wants to access free content, they will need to go to netflix.com/in/watch-free or you can access it here.

According to Statista, Netflix is having 190m+ subscribers globally, following Amazon Prime Video having more than 170m+ subscribers. Netflix is already holding a big piece of global market share, and now looking forward in the Indian market.
