The man, spotted at a busy Bengaluru signal, was photographed holding a handwritten note in English and Kannada that read: “I don’t have job, no house, please help me. I have 14 years working experience in banking.”

Beside him lay a backpack and a smaller sheet displaying a QR code, apparently for digital contributions.

The images, shared by user Being-Brilliant, quickly drew attention. “Came across this man at a prominent Bengaluru signal. As heartbreaking as it is to see him, I keep wondering — is this a result of society’s failure or personal choices?” the post read.

Netizens reaction

Online reactions were mixed. Some users expressed sympathy and suggested helping him find employment.

“People may help him and recommend him based on his CV, he has 14 years of banking experience,” a user wrote.

“The paper he's holding clearly says he has "banking" experience. How is he an "IT grad" and why did you bring "Silicon Valley of India" aspect to this post?” another wrote.

“Most people are commenting if he’s physically able, he should be able to do some job like delivery or being a driver etc But the thing is, if you are unemployed for quite a bit of time, there are chances you are mentally broken and depressed. So there’s also mental barrier,” a third expressed.

“This guy isn’t interested in working. I spoke to him about a job, but he just got irritated. On Monday he’ll be sitting near the Someshwara Temple entrance, and on Tuesday at the Subramanya Temple in halasuru,” a fourth claimed.
