Nazara Technologies-owned NODWIN Gaming is acquiring Comic Con India for Rs 55 crore. The deal involves a complete takeover of Comic Con India's shares through a mix of cash and share swap. 

The founders of Comic Con India, Jatin Varma and Karan Kalra, will continue to operate the business under NODWIN Gaming's umbrella, as per the company's statement.

Strategic expansion 

The acquisition is not just a business expansion but also a strategic move in the global entertainment landscape. As part of the acquisition, The managing team of Comic Con India will become shareholders in NODWIN Gaming, swapping 27.5 Crores of their shares.

Enhancing the ability to deliver outstanding events 

Jatin Varma, Founder, Comic Con India, stated, “For more than a decade, we have worked tirelessly to build a unique space in India for promoting and celebrating popular culture. Comic Con India's cultural impact

Comic Con India, founded in 2011, has evolved into a company orchestrating various festivals across India, celebrating a wide range of popular culture elements including comics, cosplay movies, TV shows, merch, gaming and much more.

The festivals, held in cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai, have become cornerstones of India's cultural calendar.
